Adverse, Bad & Poor Credit UK - adverse credit history
Mortgages People with a history of defaults, mortgage arrears, late payments, bankruptcy or County Court Judgments (CCj's) and general bad credit problems are often described as having an adverse credit history. When an individual makes an application for a mortgage, the lender has the facility to search the person's credit file history to determine whether they are credit worthy or not. This is part of the lenders criteria. Individuals with an adverse credit history are often turned down for a mortgage by many high street lenders as they are deemed to be of a higher risk. |
